Full Professor of Shipping and Logistics

I am happy to share that I have been promoted to Full Professor of Shipping and Logistics at the University of South-Eastern Norway (USN).

This achievement would not have been possible without the support of my mentors, colleagues, students, friends, and family. I am truly grateful to Anne Haugen Gausdal for her invaluable guidance toward professorship from the day I joined USN.

A heartfelt thanks to my mentors— Roy Mersland, Prof. Ilan Alon, Theo Notteboom, Hans-Joachim Schramm, Adolf K.Y. Ng, Rotem Shneor, Sebastian Kummer, and Hercules Haralambides—for their continued support throughout my academic career. I appreciate the support and encouragement of my colleagues at USN: Halvor Schøyen, Per Haavardtun, Tor-Inge M. Lie, and Monica Husby.

I am also thankful to students —Fabian Kjeldsberg, Helene Krabbel, and Sarah Marie Malmquist—who contributed significantly to various research projects. Special thanks to my long-time academic collaborator and dear friend, Mohammad Hassan Shakil and Stine Øyna-Vetrhus. Finally, to my wife, Tehjeeb Noor—thank you for your endless support and encouragement.

I am grateful to all of you for being a part of my journey. I look forward to continuing research and teaching in the field of shipping and logistics.
